My name is Darlene Shafer. I recently arrived from Minnesota to be the Director of Sales and Marketing for Arizona Grand. It has been a pleasure to meet so many of our wonderful residents and family members and I look forward to helping people choose Arizona Grand as their new home.

I have served the senior population for many years including government work with Medicaid programs for seniors, marketing independent senior apartments, along with assisted living and memory care. And, I served as the Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce in my hometown of Lindstrom, Minn.

I am married and have one adult daughter who lives with her husband in Appleton, Wisc. My husband, Richard, will be moving to Phoenix in September. I love my cats, meeting new friends, traveling, and watching television reality shows.

Working with seniors has been a passion of mine for many years. Arizona Grand is a wonderful community and a very friendly place to live and work. Everyone here is special.
