I joined the Arizona Grand management team in 2008 in the capacity of Director of Resident Services, where I facilitate the assisted and independent living programs. Since that time, I have assisted in beginning our new Grand Life program, which provides services to our residents to keep them functional in their independent setting. I received my LVN training in Mission Hills, California, and subsequently worked in acute care in on the coast for several years. After moving to Arizona, I decided to change direction and work with the geriatric population. I have I found this to be most rewarding, because of the variation of special needs amongst the elderly. As a result, I had the privilege of setting up a pilot program that allowed nursing home residents to be able to transfer from long term care settings to assisted living. The program was deemed a success, resulting in a permanent change in the protocols about assisted living. I have been blessed with two children and two grandchildren, all living in the Phoenix area and we are able to spend quality time together. My time at Arizona Grand has been most rewarding, plus working with one of the greatest management teams ever. I am very fulfilled to be able to use my skills to make a difference in the lives of our valued residents! |
